Description:

A deciduous, fast-growing tree, paulownia tomentosa can grow 140 centimeters per year from seed.

The imperial tree bears flower buds all winter long and in the spring appear magnificent panicles of flowers in the shape of bells or trumpets reminiscent of foxgloves. The flowers are 3-5 cm long, fragrant, lilac-pink in color spotted with purple and yellow inside. The bloom is very fragrant.

The leaves are 20-30 cm in diameter, oval, sometimes lobed, bright light green, downy above, hairy on the reverse.

This variety lends itself perfectly well to a culture in the middle of town because it is very resistant to pollution.
