Description:
A native and very rare conifer from the mountains of Taiwan, it reaches a surprising size of 60 meters in its original habitat. Cultivated in other less favorable regions, its size decreases sharply to around twenty meters. Nevertheless, this tree was introduced and planted in Europe around 1900 and the specimens are not yet mature, they currently measure 20 meters.
Its port is conical, its branches spreading or descending. Its bark is gray-brown and becomes fibrous like sequoias and flakes like eucalyptus.
This tree is very original, rare in cultivation and the seeds are even more so.
