Description:

Twining and very vigorous climbing plant (it forms real trunks over time).

The pinnate leaves are composed of seven to thirteen elliptical or oval leaflets.

In May on clusters 20 to 30cm long, bloom 35 to 50 papilionaceous flowers, very fragrant blue lilac or white.

Very fast growing vine, it supports pruning and can be grown as a climbing plant on different artificial or natural supports but also grown as a tree planted in an isolated place.

The use of fertilizer is not necessary but if you wish to use one, choose a fertilizer rich in phosphorus which will promote flowering.

Tree Growing Guide:
If your wisteria has only one stem, stake it. If it has several stems, braid them around the stake, they will fuse together naturally over time.

Let the plant grow to the desired height. Prune the trunk and remove all the stems and leaves that grow on the trunk except the last branches at the top. These as they develop will form the framework that you will prune regularly thereafter.
