Description:
The traveler’s tree is a tropical tree of the same family as the birds of paradise whose flowers are similar to the variety strelitzia nicolai.

It has the particularity of having very characteristic fan-shaped foliage: the paddle-shaped leaves of a beautiful glossy green are arranged in two rows. On the adult tree appear tiny narrow white flowers, with six petals, opening in summer on a pointed, greenish-white, canoe-shaped spathe.

Succeeding the flowers, fruits in capsules contain seeds surrounded by a bright blue aril that is sometimes slightly sticky.

Cultivable in a pot in a veranda, ravenala madagascariensis will appreciate the sun and the heat on your terrace or balcony in summer.
