Description:
This banana tree, with its rapid growth and seeds that germinate easily, can be planted in cold regions. It resists frost but this only concerns its rhizomes which will produce a new plant in the spring.
At 5°C its growth is stopped, at -2°C the leaves perish and when the frost is persistent the stem also disappears. In the spring, growth resumes and new shoots appear.
If you want this banana tree to reach a good height, it is imperative to protect it in winter.
