Description:
This ornamental palm produces several stipes (trunks) with a mature height of 3 to 4 meters. The stipes offer at their end palmate, spectacular, and circular leaves measuring 1 meter in diameter. They are light green in color.

The inflorescences develop in spring and bear creamy white flowers which are followed by red fruits (inedible) one centimeter in diameter.

This species is considered resistant to low temperatures and full sun. It is therefore used for ornamental purposes.

Licuala spinosa requires soil that is always fresh, draining and sandy. It does not require any particular maintenance and can be grown in the garden or in pots.
