Description:

The indigo tree offers a profusion of flowers, from June to September appear flowers of 1 to 2 cm in diameter of purple pink color, in the shape of butterflies. They are gathered in clusters 6 to 15 cm long.

It is a spreading shrub with arching branches. The leaves are 6 to 10 cm long, pinnate, grey-green, and are composed of twenty-one oval leaflets.
