Description:
Broom is an easy-to-grow shrub that requires little care and tolerates pruning very well. Its growth is rapid and it allows the formation of thick bushes.
Retama monosperma produces, from the end of winter until the end of spring, a very generous flowering of a multitude of tiny, magnificent white flowers. The flowering branches are highly sought after by florists because they enter into the composition of their creations.
It is a plant that likes the sun. It grows easily in poor soils as well as in sandy soils along oceans and seas where they stop soil erosion by wind.
As you will have understood, this plant acclimatizes in difficult environments and is therefore resistant to winds, sea spray and dry soil. It will also thrive in richer soils or in partial shade.
