Passionflower foetida is without doubt one of the most beautiful climbing plants. Its flowering extends from June to September and offers magnificent flowers of about ten centimeters with white petals and a purple-pink heart.
A very fast growing plant, it reaches a reasonable height of 3 meters. This passion flower produces edible fruits. Although generally small, they have a sweet and sour flavor.
This plant can be grown indoors behind a window or in a sunny veranda. It will also find its place in summer on terraces and balconies.
This plant can withstand a temperature of 4°C but if you do not live in a region with a mild climate, it is advisable to grow it in a container so that you can bring it into a greenhouse or veranda during the winter period.
