Description:

An elegant tree with an upright habit, it first has a columnar habit then spreads widely. The leaf is very particular and very beautiful, it is bilobed (two lobes) when young and then takes the form of a notched fan. Light green in summer, the foliage takes on a marvelous golden yellow color in autumn before falling.

The tree of the Popes is a magnificent subject to isolate against a dark background of foliage which will highlight its autumnal splendour. It is also considered one of the best essences for bonsai.

The ginko prefers deep and humid soils but it adapts very well to all types of soils. It therefore also grows in poor, dense soils with different levels of acidity. It also resists heat, drought, severe frosts, humidity, air pollution, sea spray,…

If you doubt its resistance, it is the only plant that resisted the American nuclear attack on Hiroshima.

Extremely disease resistant essence, it has an unknown lifespan. Some subjects found in China and Japan are several hundred years old.

This tree is considered a living fossil because it is the only living species of the Ginkgo genus and the Ginkgoaceae family.

The seeds sold on our site do not need stratification, they are already treated and therefore ready to be sown!
