Description:
The Brazilian guava tree is a slow growing shrub. It is appreciated for its ornamental qualities with magnificent and spectacular flowering. Its flowers are white and reveal huge bright red stamens.
This shrub produces edible fruits called guava which look like small avocados. They are edible and rich in vitamin C. The harvest takes place in October/November.
The guava tree grows in all types of soil, from neutral to acidic, but the soil must be draining. The guava tree tolerates temporary drought and offers excellent resistance to diseases and parasites.
Its ”exotic” origin imposes a good amount of sunshine on it to flower abundantly and bear fruit properly.
