This small shrub reaches the size of 2 meters high and 2 meters wide. In spring, its greyish branches are covered with a multitude of drooping flowers with a parma-red calyx and purplish-black petals.
Very rare plant and very little cultivated outside its area of origin, it is a very beautiful ornamental plant to discover.
It comes from South America and grows naturally from an altitude of 2000 meters.
