Description:

The bamboo palm owes its name to the resemblance of its broad-leaved palms to certain bamboos. It is a robust decorative palm that does well indoors because it does not need a lot of light to grow. Its growth is slow, which has the advantage that rhapis finds its place without difficulty in all the rooms of a house.

It can be planted in the garden but it fears frost. Except in the southern regions, it will require winter protection.

Rhapis excelsa requires a moist substrate and regular misting of its leaves.

This palm is one of the indoor plants known as depolluting the air of homes.
