Description:
A perennial tropical plant of the bromeliad family, it grows naturally in South American countries and in forests with a mild and humid climate.

The plant produces a dense tuft of leaves in the center of which appears a reddish bract covered with white flowers.

In temperate climates, it can be grown in pots outdoors during the hottest periods but should be brought indoors when the outdoor temperature drops below 10°C for long periods.
