Description:
Himalayan spruce is a conifer tree that grows in the Asian mountains and more precisely in the Himalayan regions at an altitude of 2300 to 3800 meters. Under its conditions, it can reach the size of 25 meters but in cultivation in temperate regions it gently reaches around ten meters.

Like all spruces, it is very resistant to cold but to reach an impressive adult size it needs a deep and well-draining soil otherwise its growth will be slowed down and stopped by the lack of depth of the soil.
