Description:

The Jerusalem thorn is a small tree with semi-evergreen foliage and very fast growth. It reaches a size between 2 and 8 meters high.

In spring, flowering appears in a multitude of yellow-orange flowers, very honey-rich, which cover the branches. Their scent is very pleasant.

Apart from its ornamental appeal for its flowers, this tree develops many sharp thorns. By cutting this tree into a bush, it becomes impassable for animals and/or humans, which makes it a popular natural subject to prevent the passage of animals or men in certain places.

This plant tolerates drought very well and tolerates frosts down to minus five degrees Celsius. A winter veil is to be expected in regions with harsh climates.

This tree does not require any particular care.
