Description:
Large banana tree native to China which produces a very large trunk at the top of which appear large and wide light green leaves.
The Yunnan banana tree offers very rapid growth. It thrives in rich, well-draining soil. It requires a partial shade exposure because its leaves deteriorate if exposed to full sun. Once in place, it can withstand temperatures of -8°C in the ground.
The best compromise is to grow it in a pot in order to be able to provide it with the substrate it requires and bring it indoors for cooler periods.
In indoor cultivation, a contribution of fertilizer is recommended.
