This variety is uncommon in cultivation. Its leaves are streaked transversely with lighter areas and this will be more marked if the plant is exposed to full sun. Its leaves are curved, contorted and rest mostly on the ground.

This plant tolerates drought and light frosts very well, to be grown in pots in the coldest regions or protected by a winter veil if grown outdoors.
